Archie Bradley visits local youth struck by liner
Archie Bradley has turned a traumatic event into something good. After getting hit in the face by a searing line drive last week, the Diamondbacks pitcher has been upbeat and optimistic about the event that could have had a much different result. Bradley visited him at Phoenix Children's Hospital on Friday and gave Shumaker and his family a night to remember at Chase Field on Saturday, according to MLB.com. "(Nick) didn't have a lot of drive (while in the hospital), but after Archie left, we couldn't keep him in bed. It's been non-stop since then," Vince Shumaker, Nick's father, said.
