UFC Fight Night 65: Stipe Miocic batters Mark Hunt in main event
Heading into Saturday's UFC Fight Night 65 main event, Stipe Miocic told Sporting News he learned about himself from his loss to Junior Dos Santos at UFC on Fox 13 in December. Miocic put the knowledge to good use as he battered Mark Hunt to win by fifth round TKO. From the beginning of the fight, Miocic was the aggressor, picking his shots on the feet and when he felt danger was looming, he took Hunt down to the mat. Miocic took Hunt down and was throwing an enormous amount of shots to Hunt, but referee John Sharp, for some unknown reason, let Hunt continue taking unnecessary shots to the head. In between the fourth and fifth rounds, the ringside doctor checked Hunt out to make sure he could continue.
